Weekly Summary #5

I once again didn’t do much this week. I wrote my first blog post for the Paper Lantern Lit Trendsetter program thing about cutest ships. It is literally me just word vomiting, but whatever. I still haven’t read anything other than my CPR packet and global textbook, but I need to read the first 5 chapters of A Darker Shade of Magic for a readalong, The Raven Boys, and Wolf by Wolf. Vacation starts next week, and for the first time ever I’m not going anywhere, other than Books of Wonder every other day. Hopefully I will read more.

I have an idea for a discussion post and a cover reveal Monday. I really need to read more.

Last week, I mentioned my goodreads goal of 10. If you remember, I said it was 52 a few weeks ago, but it was stressing me out, so I decided to lower it by a lot.

I have friends IRL that said they would help me redesign my blog. If you have any suggestions comment below.

  1. I wouldn’t worry about the post for Paper Lantern Lit Trendsetter; word vomits can be wonderful to read!
I really don’t place a lot of importance on Goodreads goals. Last year, I set a goal for 1,000 books, mainly because I just wanted to see how many books I read in a year (50 something, I believe). This year I’m aiming for 75, but we’ll see. I’m a mood reader and I think it makes every book so much more enjoyable. If I feel pressured to read a book, even by myself, it can detract from the story.
Wolf by Wolf is on my TBR, and I’m currently reading A Darker Shade of Magic, so I’m excited to see what you think about those books!

      1. I’m about to start part 3, but I had to listen to part 2 at double speed to try to join a Twitter chat. I’m going to reread it over the break.

      2. Okay, I’m only on chapter 4?? I think. It will (probably) get better.
It’s hard enough for me to pay attention to a regular speed audio-I can’t imagine listening to 2x speed! Think you’ll like rereading it better?
